Change and in a big way.....Last 11 months and days to come

It's almost 11 and a half months I posted something on my blog and I blame time for forgetting my blog address
Life changed in a big way in these 11 months
there were gains and there were learnings
and everything feels like it happened just yesterday
Came back to India....hunt for jobs.....fell in love with one of the best guys in the world
got married.....went through ups and downs and realized the joy and love in sticking together
shifted homes, then shifted places to make my own home
lost weight....put on weight....loosing weight
met new people.....love some....hate some
did a stint in a job....loved my colleagues....
learnt cooking....
and so on
Last 11 months is filled with moments of many first times
- Spent money earned carelessly for the first time
- Cooked a candle light dinner for the first time
- Held hands and walked under the moon for the first time
- Got a short hair cut for the first time
- Started making friends with random people for the first time
But
- Fell in love for the first and the last time

But life took a back seat in another way:
stopped reading and learning things, stopped being in touch with best of friends, stopped worrying about my weight and stopped blogging

I want to start doing the above and
by dec 31st I wish to
learn guitar and play and sing a song for pramod, take him on a long drive in the car, drop 2 dress sizes, blog more, write at least one nice article and hopefully earn a little money

About Social teachers and Finance Ministers

Nothing like coming to India to your old friends.
Old friends are more like old cotton pyjamas, with a proper fit and with holes or a tear here and there which we like and nothing like coming to home and blogging on your bed in your room with an AC temperature of your choice.
Gaps prove to be quite disastrous. Our finance minister( I would like to call him our inflation minister) forecasts inflation to be 5% by coming Fiscal.
Before that, I guess our central ministers are more like our Social Studies teachers back in school. Yes, she was the one who was holding all the strings together.
Social teacher is an English miss when the real one is absent, she also plays the role of a class teacher and when the situation demands she ends up teaching reproductive system of frogs in biology. No offense dear social teachers. I promise that this was totally a part of being there, learnt that - from a Social teacher.
So are our ministers. One political year, Mr.X is a sports minister, if the political situation calls for a by election, he is now the finance minister and by the next elections Mr.X is the communications minister.
WTH...do they have mutual career experts working on you divirsified portfolio sort of career or something?
Recently China had their ID celebrations. Least said a feast to the eyes.
Some one asked: OMG look at the way they are growing. What do you think, which country is better? India or China?
I: thought-> puhleez....for starters I was in Singapore for 2 years(its not a chinki land) I am not an expert on Chindian issues. Having a chinese room mate does not mean we sit together and speak about the economy of china. I do not understand mandarin.
I:said->India
Some one said: Ey...Whaaat are you taaaking??? China is fantabulous....

Well..upon retrospection China is outgrowing India. We might be happy with the petty achievements this fiscal as to how we got more car manufacturers setting up plants in India, be it beating China on marginal margins.
But are we really considering the gaps?
Our budget, whatever said and done, is only raising the infrastructure index.
In the long run, unless we bridge the gap that we widened between the rural and urban areas, we are ought to be happy on the petty margins.
China for starters has an internal passport system. I totally appreciate Nandan jee for giving up the top shot job with a top shot bank balance to go fight it in the union. But how long yaar???
I hope it does not take as long as a time to read your book. I had to verify wether I was reading a statistics book.
We are not bent to prove Gandhiji wrong. REAL INDIA IS IN VILLAGES.
With more of irritation and lack of narration I end here
That is why, we should not have ministers who replicate social teachers back in school

A thousand splendid suns

A man's heart is a wretched wretched thing, Mariam. It isn't like a mother's womb. It won't bleed, it won't stretch to make room for you.I'm the only one who loves you. I'm all you have in this world Mariam, and when I'm gone you'll have nothing. You'll have nothing. You arenothing.

An innocent daughter caught by the charm of her father, who throws a deaf ear to the above words is later entangled in twists of life. Helplessness, void of not being loved, unable to do anything, she meets another soul equally caught in the web of life. Finally as some one I know quoted ' Be the spider in the web, but not theinsect caught in the web' the former woman ends her life long miserypaving her way for eternal darkness and eternal happiness for the latter.
Writen very vivid, not prolonging unlike his previous book (Kiterunner)Khaled does an amazing job untangling the story. The story folds and unfolds right from the first chapter. And it is not untill you come to the end of the capter that the mysteryunravels itself and pulls tighter knots in your stomach. But somewhere down the pages, the reader is conditioned to see what's coming. But again, the reader's ravenous appetite is justified by a proper meal with unexpected events.
All in all a very feminine story ( I should have predicted itas it was dedicated to Afghan women) unlike his previous book.
An interesting read, though I was little disappointed with the ending.I was, you need not be.
I like: The style and flow
I do not like: The story ends a lot before than you realise. Why are your ends prolonged Mr.Khaled? Why??????????

Relationships are built and broke on WORDS

a small hello or hi is all it takes to start a relationship
and a simple 'i do not like that' or 'go to hell' can break a relationship

People walking out on you/giving up on you when u still want them
can be painful....end of the day, hope is a hard habbit to break my friend
Living on hope is like walking on an endless path of broken glasses
the pain and the path both resist to cease, so does the unrelenting will to tread that path

Pain and Life seem to be 2 awful four letter words than the cliched four letter word

PS:too much of emotions and negativity filled my blog oflate...but hang on as am about to post something that happened on an APSRTC bus :D

Can't think of an appropriate title

it's not until this long lost schoolmate of mine reminded me of this amazing number and i was so enthuly typing out a mail that I decided to blog my overflowing philosophy

".....more than song i luvvv the video...man such an amazing vid....life has to move on....u stop at a sight thinking that this-is-it but again you have to kick those un necessary cockroaches that come into ur life out and keep driving....but again as bud fox in the movie wallstreet says life is a series of moments....and we sometimes attempt and kiss the wrong frogs hoping they turn into the prince...okay now i dun mean prince but may be a desired situation or an event.....lol :D"

as the one liner goes "you can kiss a fool, you can let a fool kiss you, but do not let a kiss fool you"....
being the optimistic asses that we are, we try and think of some illusions as the best win-win situation and by the time, we realise its an illusion, least we know is that we are least prepared to clear the hell lot of crap we are drowned in

Push to Shove

Life has it own twists and turns
There are people who come in, twist your whole life and wait eagerly to see how it turns(Just in case YOU are reading this loads of love for all the twists :D am not commenting about the turns:D)

Now, ya'll have dreamsBut at the end of the day respect for what we do and self respect matter
We push hard to achieve it...but in the end we realise what we love and ask the whole world to Shove it :D
